NiteRain is one of the leading voices of the new generation of Rock N' Roll. Hailing from Scandinavia and bringing out their music all over the world.
Since 2012, the band has visited a number of countries with their new sound and explosive concerts. The band's live performances are well known for being a powerful mix of high energy, great songs and a new sound, but still containing the good vibes from the 70 's and 80's. This has taken the band on tour in countries like Austria, Italy, Iceland, Finland, Sweden and Germany. The band has been touring in over 14 countries the past few years.
Their debut album Crossfire was released in November 2013, and received brilliant reviews. It was produced by Ronni Le Terkö (TNT), and was later remixed by Bjørn Erik Pedersen (Whiteroom Studios).
The band is influenced by many different artists. The blues based rock from the 70 's, and 80's is prominent, and artists such as Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, and L.A. Guns could be mentioned among many others. In 2011 they were chosen as the support act for L.A. Guns' Scandinavian tour. This resulted in another invitation to a full European tour in 2012, which turned out to be a success for the band. NiteRain has also opened for other well established bands such as Steel Panther (US), TNT (NOR), and Sebastian Bach (US) among others.
In 2015 they also performed on the main stage of the Tons of Rock Festival in Norway, alongside bands like Twisted Sister and Backyard Babies.
Touring in Sweden, Italy, Norway and Germany was successful in 2015, with sold out shows. NiteRain played Norway Rock Festival and won Sweden Rock Festivals band competition, giving them a spot on the bill in 2016. NiteRain won the vote with strong competition from great bands from all over the world. This was the very same year Sweden Rock Festival set a new record on the amount of votes in the band competition.
Successful shows from the summer of 2016 led readers in the music magazine Gaffa to vote NiteRain as the most entertaining live band of the year. NiteRain released their second album Vendetta in November 2016, which was followed by great reviews and a full European tour in countries including Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia and Latvia. The album made it to the Norwegian album chart VG lista.
2017 was filled with several big festival shows worldwide. NiteRain played twice in England, at the Rockmantic Festival, and at Hair Metal Heaven, Wildfest in Belgium, Rocklahoma and Cruefest in the USA, and two festivals in Norway: Arronesrocen and Vinterstorm.
NiteRain has always been in demand in Los Angeles and the band decided to move to Hollywood for a few months in 2017. During their stay, they played to a capacity crowd at the legendary Viper Room on two occasions, played a showcase associated with Soundcheck Live at Lucy Strike and headlined their first ever show in Las Vegas at Vamp'd, Las Vegas' premier rock club. A music video for the current single #1 Bad Boy was shot where the band lived in Hollywood and released in February.
Currently in 2018 the band is writing and recording songs which will be featured on the upcoming third album. NiteRain also appeared on the sold out Sleaze Fest festival in Germany.
